FINE Academic Plan

The purpose of the FINE Academic Plan – our curriculum, is to support the implementation and development of FINE pedagogy. The FINE Academic Plan is strongly based on The Finnish National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care. Early childhood education and care (ECEC) is an important part of the Finnish education system and a significant part on the child’s path of growing and learning.

LIFE SKILLS

A set of 21st century skills  that every child needs to develop in order to succeed now and in the future.  In FINE kindergarten, children will learn and strengthen their skills in a familiar group with the guidance of a professional teacher.

LEARNING AREAS

Learning content from different fields create the learning areas. In FINE we have five different learning areas. These learning areas help children to develop not only subject specific skills, but also their comprehensive competences and skills needed in life.

PEDAGOGICAL METHODS

FINE pedagogical methods include carefully chosen ways of teaching, which are based on Finnish pedagogy. These methods help children to learn about the world around them, in a child-centred manner.
